Radio Taxis were chosen by the 2012 London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) initially as lead operator to supply Taxi and Private Hire needs for all of their staff and journalists.

This was expanded to encompass transport for games competitors and National Olympic Committee members arriving and departing via the now official ports of entry, then further extended to volunteer workforce trips that were either early or late when no other transport was available.

From a despatch hub at our HQ in Finsbury Park, Radio Taxis managed two coach companies, a Licensed Taxi company and a Private Hire company and despatched more than 7,000 journeys during the games. LOCOG were universally positive and delighted to acknowledge our accomplishment delivering this large-scale requirement in a pressured environment.
